A Child’s Place Service Project

There are over 4,700 homeless children enrolled in Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools.
For some, their only meal at home is a snack from A Child’s Place.

A Child’s Place is an organization that works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education. They serve children, families, our schools and the community by intervening at the point of crisis when a family loses their home. A Child’s Place serves as the EMT, there at the time of the emergency to help stabilize the child and family so they can begin to rebuild their lives. Our work is primarily done through a school-year model.  A Child’s Place works in partnership with the public schools to identify, enroll and work with children and families who are in the homelessness crisis.

Yearly, Endhaven students and families have participated in donating and packing snacks for A Child’s Place.  We will begin accepting donations in January and students will be packing the snack during the week of February 12th – 16th.  All donated items need to be sent in by February 8th.

Invite your friends, family and neighbors to support A Child’s Place along with Endhaven.

We are still in need of the following items:
Mini water bottles
Juice boxes
Fruit cups
Raisins
Crackers
Granola bars

Check our Volunteer Spot for volunteer sign ups. We will be looking for adult volunteers to assist with bag packing during Jump Rope for Heart.

Thank you Endhaven families for rising to the challenge!
